A New Generation
1997 was a pivotal moment when the horse industry embraced "natural horsemanship." Led by accomplished cowboys still recognized today, this gentler approach opened doors for everyone - from movie stars to backyard guardians - to pursue partnerships with their horses. The dramatic shift from brutal breaking to gentle starting captivated the world — and sparked something profound in ROTH's founder.
While thousands gathered to learn systems of controlling horses' footfall and establishing leadership, Anna Twinney heard a different call. She took a blind leap of faith, crossing continents and uprooting her entire life in pursuit of true horsemanship. Under the guidance of legendary California horseman Crawford Hall, Dean of Students for the Monty Roberts International Learning Center, she began a journey that would transform the industry.
Through her work with over ten thousand horses, Anna discovered something revolutionary. She found a path beyond dominance-based methods to a deeper connection through self-awareness, energy work, and even telepathy. Instead of using the horse's nature against them, she created an approach that honors their wisdom and supports their highest potential.
